Air source heat pump and full central heating system installation.
Autumn 2024
Here, we installed a 7kw air source heat pump to a 1930’s semi detached property in Burton. The property has a real mix of building fabric which were all considered when the detailed heat loss survey was carried out in the first instance. The existing heating system was a boiler, run on LPG, which the homeowner was keen to have removed - along with the bulk storage tank at the front of the property.
Due to our varied skill set, we were able to offer a unique solution to the homeowner, in respect of where to install the cylinder and plant equipment. We constructed a tall larder unit 600 mm wide, just big enough for a compact installation. Who says you need a plant room for an air source heat pump?! See the photos below.
Radiators were upgraded throughout the property to allow a maximum design flow temperature of 45 degrees, at -3 outdoor temperature. The robust Heat Geek guarantee has given the customer peace of mind here, that they can expect a minimum SCOP of 3.9 (efficiency of 390%). If the system under-performs, as Heat Geek Affiliates, we can guarantee we’ll put it right.
