This project offered a perfect opportunity to adopt a heat pump, since the bungalow was undergoing a complete renovation.

The homeowner had found us through Heat Geek, which led him to our own website here - result! As a retired electrician, the homeowner was more than capable of carrying out some of the associated work himself, along with an impressive portion of the property refurbishment. We have initially installed the heat pump and cylinder, awaiting a return visit to fully lag the the plant room and carry out the commissioning procedure, in just a few weeks time.

The homeowner has installed an overlay underfloor heating system throughout the property, enabling super low running costs for the new heat pump system. In addition, along with the heavy refurb carried out to a high specification, they have also installed a mechanical ventilation heat recovery (MVHR) system, slashing his heat loss by approximately 30%. With all of this in mind we’ll be watching the performance of this system with great interest to see just how efficiently it runs.
